The Zehnminutensalon is the ideal opportunity for people with a short attention span. The only rule is that each person's reading stops after 10 minutes, regardless of whether the sentence is finished or not. We invite all listeners to time the reading and end it with their cell phone ring tones when the time is up. Afterwards, the audience can agree on a question and ask it to the reader. This covers all the important aspects of a classic literary salon, and then we move on to the next reading. In this way, the audience can enjoy different types of texts by different authors within two hours without losing the thread.
Open Call
For the next Zehminutensalon in the MAK Column Hall, we are looking for young writers who want to present their texts for this special edition!
Send us your works, which should take about 5 minutes to read, to young@mak.at by October 3. The choice of topic is up to you. German and English are best understood by the audience.
We look forward to your submissions! The selected participants will be notified on October 8.
