MAK-it! Special: How to Write Poetry with a Hammer

Free workshop with artist Andrea Maurer

Language under the hammer: words are taken apart, letters knocked loose, sentences reassembled. Insurance policies, payment reminders, internet contracts, divorce agreements—everything is transformed into love letters, number poems, letter sonatas. Bring along any such document! What works in everyday life is thrown off course here and turned into poetry. We dismantle, reclaim letters and words, and shake out our own texts.

Everything fell apart into pieces for me, the pieces into more pieces, and nothing could be encompassed by a single concept anymore.
